The world has become a global village with a fast-paced movement of goods, services, business activities, and trends in general. This calls for the need to grow and sharpen the minds of fast-rising young and budding potential leaders.
The recent COVID-19 pandemic has taught us several lessons regarding learning, growth development and remaining relevant through strategic positioning.
It is therefore very vital that leadership of the day and the future is highly strategic and apt to refocus priorities and ensure that Ghana and Africa as a whole catch up and is up to speed with the fast-moving world.
It is in view of the above that the IFED Global deems it necessary and prudent to organize a Model United Nations Plus conference to help realize the objective of Government to grow and shape leaders through diplomacy by providing children of a specific age group with tailored educational and insightful activities through the Model United Nations Simulation to help boost their confidence, direct their energies positively to achieve set goals for their own and National development.
This initiative is also in cognizance and fulfilment of SDG 4 which is to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all and has seven targets and three means of implementation being Awareness, Understanding and Action.
The JUNIOR MUN PLUS is a Model United Nations Conference and an initiative of the Innovation For Empowerment and Development (IFED GLOBAL), six times organizers of the International Youth Diplomacy Conference (IYDC) to engage the younger generation between the ages of twelve (12) and eighteen (18) in diplomatic, leadership and contemporary educational activities.
